Last updated · 5 September 2026

Provider and address

CiteSurge is a product owned and operated by Brainjuice Labs LDA.

Who this applies to

Visitors to citesurge.com, readers of our content, and agency teams on paid engagements. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Our services

CiteSurge provides generative engine optimization services: audits, implementation retainers, monitoring, and managed content engagements. Scope, deliverables, and pricing for each engagement live in a signed statement of work.

AI Readiness Check

Where the AI Readiness Check is available and you submit a domain, our automated scanner requests its public homepage, robots.txt, sitemap documents, public AI and agent discovery files, and a bounded set of public links declared by the site. It uses the declared CiteSurgeAuditBot identity and follows the site's access rules. If the check generates a result, it stores the assessment at a public, shareable URL. A result is a dated technical snapshot. It can be incomplete, wrong, or out of date, and it is not an endorsement of the site or a promise about citations, rankings, traffic, or revenue.

Submit only domains that CiteSurge may lawfully request. Do not use the check to access private or credential-protected material, evade access controls, overload a site, harass someone, or misrepresent a result.

When CiteSurge publishes an AI readiness result, a person who controls the domain can remove it or prevent future scans without opening a CiteSurge account. Each published result links to that process. After domain control is verified, a takedown hides the result before the successful response and erases its stored result data within 30 days. A verified no-scan request hides existing results and blocks new scans until the domain controller withdraws that instruction.

Where CiteSurge publishes an AI readiness leaderboard, the newest eligible result for each host appears on it by default, showing only the host, the result, its band, the scan date, its rank, and a link to the result. Entries are visitor-initiated scans. They are not a representative sample, a market ranking, a cohort benchmark, or a measure of citations, visibility, traffic, or business quality. The person who ran a scan can remove that result from the list, and a domain controller can suppress every listing for an exact host. Removing a listing does not erase the result, hide its page, or block a future scan; takedown, erasure, and no-scan take precedence over any listing state.

Your obligations

Connected customer data

Where a Google Search Console or Google Analytics 4 connection is available, you must be authorized to connect the selected property and instruct us to process its data. We use that data only for the services and capabilities you authorize, under your statement of work, our data processing agreement, and the applicable Google terms. Connecting a property does not authorize every later capability or transfer ownership of your data to CiteSurge.

Separate authorization is required for added uses, including customer exports, forecasts, and outcome measurement. We do not acquire rights to publish connected data, sell it, combine it across customers, or train general-purpose AI models with it. You can revoke Google access and request return or deletion of retained data under our data processing agreement. Revocation does not by itself delete existing records or terminate your engagement.

Our obligations

Payments

Processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Custom engagements invoice per the statement of work. Refunds follow the terms of each plan.

Intellectual property

Content we publish on citesurge.com is ours. Deliverables we produce for you are yours on payment. Our methodology, internal tooling, and the CiteSurge brand remain ours.

Liability

Third-party answer engines, publishers, platforms, and referral sources control their own retrieval, selection, ranking, recommendation, citation, mention, publication, distribution, and referral decisions. CiteSurge does not warrant any specific third-party placement or commercial outcome. These limitations do not alter the liability cap or other terms in this section. Our aggregate liability for any claim under these terms is capped at the fees paid to us in the preceding twelve months.

Termination

You can cancel a subscription anytime through the billing portal. Either party may terminate a retainer with 30 days' written notice, or immediately for material breach.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes go to the competent courts of Lisbon.
